Sam becomes the fifth president to lead the company’s illustrious history.

A native of Kansas City, Sam has been a loyal member of the ACI Boland team since 2002, becoming a Principal and shareholder in 2011. Recognized for his exceptional leadership and mentorship skills, both within the firm and the broader community, Sam is deeply committed to empowering future design leaders and upholding ACI Boland’s reputation for top-tier design.
Sam’s educational background reflects his well-rounded approach to architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Science from the University of Missouri. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to active client listening and delivering meticulously crafted designs that cater to their specific needs. As Sam himself emphasizes, “Success hinges on fostering strong relationships. Be clear, honest, and deliver on your promises.”

A WELL-ROUNDED INDIVIDUAL WITH A PASSION FOR LIFE
Beyond the realm of architecture, Sam enjoys activities like golfing, fishing, and even participating in BBQ competitions. He’s been married to his wife, Kris, for 20 years. Kris is the owner of Salumi Rose, a well-respected charcuterie company in Kansas City. Together, they have a daughter, Kate, who is currently a junior in high school.
