How long have you been in the industry? How long have you been in your specific sector?
12 years, which is spread across urban design, historic preservation, mixed use, education, commercial/retail, industrial, etc. I’ve worked as Architect, Owner, and Contractor.
Why did you decide to work in the AEC Industry?
I wanted to use my skills and interests to help improve people’s lives.
How do you want clients to feel when they work with you?
I want clients to feel that I’ve got the best interest of the project in mind, and I care about the people that will be using the end result.
What is your favorite thing about working on projects?
I like seeing people using the project when it’s done and knowing that I’ve had a positive impact on their lives through my work.
What is something that would surprise people?
I’ve paddled a canoe from ACI Boland’s Kansas City office to our St. Louis office.
What was your first job? My first real job was farmhand at a small farm, orchard, and greenhouse.
What was your first concert that you attended?
Smashmouth and Tim McGraw when I was about 10. It was a free concert. It was just okay.
Where is your “happy place”?
My writing desk with my dog by my feet.
