What do you like most about working at ACI Boland?
I like working at ACI Boland because of the work environment. ACI Boland cares about the families they serve. This is especially true for the families we serve with the final product of our work. This virtue is reinforced into each employee as the company leads by example and strides to provide a great work culture around the “Families first” virtue.
How do you want clients to feel when they work with you?Confident that their needs are met in the end product delivered by the contractor.
What motivates you?
My interest for architecture keeps me motivated. Architecture is like a telescope into the universe of the clients profession or life. Regardless of the use of the building we get a behind the scenes learning experience for the processes that will be happening inside. Every project gets to be a different learning experience and reframes my view of the world in its own way.
What is something about you that would surprise people?
I often have to apologize for the whiplash my music taste causes passengers in my car. One second you are listening to Heavy Metal and the next song comes on and its Mozart.
Where is your happy place?
My happy place is on the ice. I love playing hockey!
What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation is pretty much any trip that takes me out of country. In the near future I would like to make it to Japan and Thailand.
How do you spend your time outside of work? Hobbies, volunteer involvement? The majority of my time outside of work is spent with my wife and kids. My personal hobbies include playing ice hockey, camping with the family, fixing my Jeep when its broken, and driving my Jeep when its working.
What advice would you provide someone interested in architecture?
Take some drafting/computer modeling classes to ensure you enjoy that part of the career. Make sure your college is accredited and don’t stop pushing forwards.
