Flexible Teaming Areas

description

MiTek Industries’ new home needed to include engineering, software development, IT, technical support, sales, and corporate leadership for all locations in the U.S. as well as multiple cities throughout the world.

Openness and natural light were key directions for the design. Leadership also expressed a desire for collaborative and flexible teaming areas. More than 75% of the offices are in-board with all glass walls facing the exterior. By using this design, all the low-height work stations are in the open with great exterior views. The exterior glass has solar-controlled fabric window coverings to mitigate glare.

Bicycle racks, showers, locker rooms, an on-site walking trail, and dedicated low emission vehicle and car-pooling parking spaces contributed to the points required for LEED Certification.
