The Travanse Living at Olathe building was originally a hotel on the south side of Olathe. Converting this facility to an assisted living/memory care facility generated many challenges, including ADA compliance, new mechanical and electrical systems, and providing new elevators throughout. The structure and skin of the building are the only original portions of the building. Major components that were repurposed include the kitchen, laundry facilities, common spaces, and larger meeting rooms.
The larger site, including the former pool area, provides multiple outdoor areas, including a private garden with gazebo for memory care residents. Residents have access to a therapy gym, technology center, doctor’s suite, and The Barton Library.
